I’m in love with vlogging. I’m a broadcast/film major and theatre minor, so this is right up my alley. I’m trying to do about 2 vlogs a week. Here’s one of my favs. (By the way, I have a channel on YouTube, too.)

Hi, I am setting up a business Facebook page, but I want to put in my own category, as none of the options on the scroll down list is appropriate. I did put in the most relevant to get myself started, but now can’t find a way to put in what I actually want.
I had a blog a couple years ago in a pretty precise niche (female musicians), too precise maybe. I had like 20 readers! Now I’d like to try again with another topic but I’m afraid there’s way too much blogs about it already (hippie lifestyle including health, fashion, decor, beauty, printables, etc). I vlog every monday! This last one…was a little long. Kim Kardashian ya know, she makes me ramble! But usually they are only between 2-3 minutes long. Who has time {or wants} to watch 15 minutes of me rambling! I’m getting better at it, and I love that I know ONE post a week will be taken care of! Thanks for the info.
Hi Jess, I already own a free hosted blog on wordpress because as a student I don’t really have enough money to get self hosting due to the yearly payment. right now I can’t activate Adsense and it’s being restrictive. please do you think ipage is cheaper and is it monthly payment.
I will quibble on one point though, your comment about BBT getting 13,000 subscribers before launching even though you “had nothing but a coming soon page and an invitation to join our email list.” As I recall, you also had a freakin’ awesome video on that page as well that just made people yearn to give you their email address, even without knowing a thing about BBT. So that didn’t hurt, either. ; )

Publish Consistently. Teach web crawlers to come back to your site on a regular basis and improve your rankings over time by publishing regular content for site visitors to enjoy. After all, the point of having a blog is to build a bigger following. Ranking higher in search results will help, and becoming a source to rely on for consistent content helps as well.
Although I already started my own blog, I found some useful tips in there. Furthermore, I checked some of the resources you mention in section #5, they’re great and useful (didn’t read them all….. yet 😉

Is a fan page the same as a facebook page? And so I just follow the steps you stated in your article and create my page. I did my page with my facebook profile and got nervous so I created a knew facebook acct I will use for my blog
